|Summary||0000090: User emails are not importing wtih muliple domains|
This plugin works great, but we found that in case you have several email domains, emails are not imported if are other than default.
For example, you have a domain mantis.local, primary email address for your users is mantis.com.
You also have domains mantis-usa.com, mantisforhire.com and mantisonline.com.
User whose primary email is mantis.com will be imported with email mantis.com
User whose primary email is mantis-usa.com will be imported, but instead of his email, mantis.local will be a suffix for his email.
The same applies to mantis-usa.com, mantisforhire.com and mantisonline.com
while users will be able to authenticate with their AD credentials, email will not be added to their WordPress user.
1. If I add default email under user settings - Account suffix, users will be able to authenticate via AD, but only users who have email. Users who don't have a email will have to enter email@example.com (instead of username). Users who have email will be able to login without @mantis.com
2. If I add @mantis.local under account suffix, all users will be able to log in, but only users who have default email mantis.com will get email added to their wordpress profile. Users with mantis-usa.com email won't get email assigned.
User numberone who has mantis.com email will be created as firstname.lastname@example.org his email will be email@example.com
User numbertwo who has mantis-usa.com email, will be created as two users:
one user will be firstname.lastname@example.org while the second user will be created as soon as he logs in,
in that case AD plugin will create a new user with a username
numbertwo, it will also add an email to the user email@example.com but it will not add name and surname.
So you will have two users.
If you use a program that is used to send emails based on username and name, it will only map username, but it will miss a name, surname and email.
I hope there will be a way to get a correct user name from AD
|Steps To Reproduce||Create a user whose email in AD is other than default email. Import AD users, check user whose email is different.|
Then Log in with this user and check users in WordPress.
You will see two users.
One which is authenticating with AD, without name and a surname and second with correct name and surname, correct email, but wrong username:
instead username it will be populated as firstname.lastname@example.org.
Correct way would be to create only one user, with username and correct email.
